“The development of speech has been delayed for my 2.5-year-old son who is affected by autism. For about a year, the only word he managed to say was “bus”, and we couldn`t get him to say any other word. When our personal assistance dog arrived, my son greeted him with great enthusiasm. He just scrutinized him for hours. After 1-2 days of playing together with the dog, he began to use words and commands (fetch, sit, come etc).
