Therapy dog

Playing and learning with four-legged assistants

“We work together on children’s development trainings with my therapy dog, effectively dissolving anxiety and fear from dogs as well. On one occasion a new child arrived in our dog assisted training with his mother, who brought him with anxiety, because she was sure she would have to take him out from the class after the first 5 minutes. However, the boy didn’t quit after 5 nor even after 10 minutes. At the end of the class, he happily ran to her mother, because he wanted to share all the experiences with her. For the first time in his life, he was petting dogs and participated in games with dogs. The boy became one of the most enthusiastic and permanent participants of our dog assisted therapy classes. “- Flóra Nemes
